We Are Specialists
CSG provides construction related services only to school districts. Therefore, we have a high degree of expertise in school building types. As a program of ESD 112, we are exposed to a wide array of educational support services in addition to those related to construction. This gives us special insight into the needs of school districts.
Because our entire agency is dedicated to the support of school districts, CSG is a natural advocate for our client districts in the area of construction management services. We play the role of an extension of the district's staff.
Washington State Experience
CSG routinely manages construction projects that receive Washington State funding support. We are familiar with the requirements of this funding program and the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) staff associated with the program.
Value Added Measures
CSG offers several OSPI mandated "value added measures" under one roof. These include:
- Construction Management (GC/CM)
- Constructability Review (CR) studies, to ensure construction document quality;
- Value Engineering (VE), a study aimed at analyzing the functions of a project, to optimize lifecycle costs and the performance;
- Building Commissioning (Cx) to bring building systems into good working order before occupancy.
