This is a Critical Incident Planning and Mapping System that is mandated and funded by the State Legislature. Rapid Responder allows schools and First Responders to quickly access key information about school facilities and pre-determined tactical considerations such as staging areas and evacuation routes. Included as key parts of this school data base are satellite and geo-spatial imagery, interior and exterior photos with zoom capacity, floor plans, hazardous materials inventories, utility shutoffs and emergency pre-plans. The focus is to enhance collaboration with First Responders before disaster strikes and to quickly access emergency plans when a critical incident occurs, thereby providing a more efficient, effective and timely response.
